Lost Children Attendant
The Lost Children Attendant ensures the safety of the lost child. The attendant keeps the child entertained and fed while the parents are located.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1) Activities and nurturing
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to care for and nurture children who have become separated from their family or caregiver while at the Fair
Must be willing and able to engage in activities with children to keep them busy while they are in our care and waiting to be picked up
2) Maintain Written Records for Children
The Attendant must demonstrate the ability to take and document information, such as identification from parents, guardians or caregivers who are coming to pick up children
3) Public Relations and Professionalism
Must be able to maintain calm when dealing with upset adults
Must maintain professional conduct in representing the Los Angeles County Fair in dealing with all and any guests
Qualifications
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Must demonstrate knowledge of child growth and development, positive child guidance techniques. The attendant must demonstrate good interpersonal relations, such as tact, patience and courtesy in dealing with children, families and co-workers.
Must have minimum 2 years experience of working with children 0-5 years in an organized setting (for example, park & recreation program, after school care, formal child care).Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
