Senior Real Estate Accountant

Based in Pomona, AVANT REAL ESTATE is a leading company in Real Estate Investment and Development.
We have an immediate opening for a talented Senior Real Estate Accountant to join our team.
Responsibilities for Senior Accountant Record real estate transactions from mortgage statements, escrow statements and bank statements.
Produce monthly financial statements.
Ensure compliance with bank loan covenants.
Ensure that all lender reporting is in compliance on a monthly basis.
Provide relevant data to tax accountant for tax returns.
Pay real property and income taxes.
Other projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting from US university is required.
6 years of relevant experience of which at least 3 years in accounting for real estate companies Working knowledge of commercial real estate - escrow statements, loan and mortgage statements, shareholder contribution/distribution.
Knowledge of real estate taxation a plus Excellent oral and written communication skills Attention to detail and work accuracy.
Ability to design work process improvements to increase productivity.
Advanced Excel (macros, v-look ups, pivot, query) required.
Experience using Quick Books required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
