Part time position - estimated at 20 hours each week.
Donations and Pledges Responsibility
Record pledges to donors records (weekly, monthly, annually)
Record all donations by gift and donor
Report and mail Pledge accounting records to donors quarterly
Report and mail annual pledge and donor receipts at year end
Adjust any errors in statements as reported by pledging units if necessary
Deposits and Receipts
Prepare deposits with Teller weekly
Reconcile Teller reports and supporting documents (weekly)
Record all receipts by accounts
Scan checks and any cash records for electronic filing
Prepare deposits slips and make deposits (each week)
Work with Treasurer and Trustees to move funds for maximize interest income (as needed)
Review bills and statements for accuracy
Assign bills to appropriate Expense accounts and record as necessary
Complete check request forms for each bill
Prepare checks
Obtain signatures on checks and check request
File hard copy of bills with supporting documentation
Prepare bills for mailing
Prepare and mail 1099's as applicable annually
General Accounting duties
Reconcile receipts by bank account and income account records each month
Provide photo copies of all bank statements for each account for the Chair of the Trustees and other Financial Officers of the church monthly)
Maintain reviewable and orderly records of all receipts, disbursements, adjustments, correcting and any other journal entries of financial transactions (ongoing)
General Ledger Posting to be completed monthly
Prepare monthly financial reports for Board meetings as requested and work with Treasurer's or Chairs of such Boards to reconcile individual budgets of such groups.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
