Guest Relations Associate (173755-086)

Performs a broad range of guest services activities during the Los Angeles County Fair. Responsible for assisting guests with directions, vendor and event information, and problem solving.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for greeting guests, providing direction and information on Fair events
Distribute daily fair guides and maps to guests
Assist with guest complaints and/or comments
Required Skills
Must have basic computer skills
Must have Customer Service experience
Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Physical Requirements of the Job:
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
Must be able to move around the fairgrounds
Must be able to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and everyday of the LA County Fair
Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain
Must have reliable transportation to and from work



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
