Sponsorship Clerk - Seasonal (173711-086)

This position is responsible for assisting the Corporate Sponsorship Sales team members with on-site clerical coordination and implementation of sponsorship agreements for L.A. County Fair.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to successfully organize and multi-task event activation and sponsor fulfillment
Assists in on-site sponsor activation for L.A. County Fair
Works to ensure that contractual obligations are met; must be able to read and interpret sponsorship agreements
Must be able to perform a variety of administrative duties including, but not limited to, copying, faxing, routing of sponsorship contracts, interdepartmental deliveries, preparing package for mailing, sponsor ticket fulfillment, etc.
Develop correspondence and sales tools as they pertain to sponsorship sales, including, but not limited to, letters, email correspondence, proposals and presentations
Assists in the preparation of L.A. County Fair sponsor fulfillment reports
Updates and maintains files of active sponsors
Assists in the execution of sales and marketing programs
Prepares copies of executed sales contracts for staff
Represents the L.A. County Fair and Fairplex in a professional manner at all times
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
Any combination of training and/or experience equivalent to two years of college and/or three years of office experience with a concentration in sales, marketing and/or business preferred
Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must have strong computer software skills (proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and experience with sales-related software packages preferred
Must be detail and deadline oriented and be able to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
Must possess exceptional customer relations skills and telephone etiquette
Must be able to communicate on the phone
Job Requirements:
Ability to move around the grounds
Ability to move around the office and lift up to 25 pounds
Requires a valid California Driver License and clean driving record
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
